We welcome applications from students who have completed or are in the process of taking the conversion course following a law degree as well as those who have studied law, with a strong academic background and at least a 2:1 honours degree.
We operate an Equal Opportunities policy. In considering applications we take account of academic achievements and the standard of degree likely to be obtained but also a genuine desire for a career in the profession and an interest in working and living locally. We place great importance on good interpersonal skills in the context of both the workplace and client care. We are looking for trainees who combine intellectual ability with practical common sense.
Our 2022 and 2023 Trainee recruitment campaign is now live. If you would like to register your interest please apply online.
What do our current and past trainees say about Glanvilles training contracts?
Anastasia Davenport - Newly Qualified Trainee Solicitor, Commercial Property
“Training Contracts are often perceived as daunting and difficult. At Glanvilles, it is the opposite. The team all work incredibly hard to ensure you feel at ease as soon as you step through the door and are always happy to help with any questions that you may have. It is because of this atmosphere that training with Glanvilles has been both enjoyable and rewarding for me. They allow you to develop and grow your legal skills in order to ensure you achieve the best of your potential.”
Laura Rolls - Newly Qualified Trainee Solicitor, Civil Litigation
“Everyone at Glanvilles has been extremely friendly from my first day and I immediately felt part of the family. Throughout my training contract so far the work I have been given is interesting, challenging and varied which has enabled me to learn quickly and take on more responsibility. I have also had a large amount of client contact which has helped me put the work I do into perspective.”
Emma Naylor - Trainee Solicitor, Business & Corporate team
"I instantly felt part of the team whilst on work experience with Glanvilles. The approachability of every team member and the positive experience I had made me sure that Glanvilles were the right firm for me. During my training contract, I have had valuable one-to-one guidance from my supervisors enabling me to develop my skills quickly. I have been given responsibility from early on which has improved my confidence when dealing with a variety of clients."
