We welcome applications from students who are looking to qualify through the SQE route, have completed or are in the process of taking the conversion course following a law degree as well as those who have studied law, with a strong academic background and at least a 2:1 honours degree.
We operate an Equal Opportunities policy. In considering applications we take account of academic achievements and the standard of degree likely to be obtained but also a genuine desire for a career in the profession and an interest in working and living locally. We place great importance on good interpersonal skills in the context of both the workplace and client care. We are looking for trainees who combine intellectual ability with practical common sense.
We also offer vacation schemes to prospective trainee solicitors and paralegals. Our Vacation Scheme is open to graduate law students or non-law students who intend to undertake the conversation course. Taking part in our vacation scheme will provide an excellent opportunity to understand the work that we do at Glanvilles, to meet our people and gain a sense of our culture and values. It is a chance to see if Glanvilles is the right firm for you. For further information, click here. Alternatively, you can submit your interest on your trainee solicitor application.

What do our trainees say about Glanvilles training contracts?
Jessica Pallone - Newly Qualified Solicitor
"The most important thing in a Training Contract is having a consistent opportunity to learn. The supervisors and colleagues at Glanvilles are willing to teach, review and motivate on a regular basis, whilst also allowing us freedom to tackle obstacles ourselves. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Glanvilles so far and look forward to completing my Training Contract with the firm and qualifying into Dispute Resolution and Immigration."
Sophie Montgomery - Newly Qualified Solicitor
"Since starting at Glanvilles I have felt part of the team since day one and have received lots of support and guidance throughout my time here. I was given a large amount of responsibility during my Training Contract and learnt new skills every day to assist me on my journey to qualification. "I joined Glanvilles initially as a paralegal and knew straight away that it was the firm I wished to undertake my training contract with. The work is varied and no two days are the same. From day one I was given challenging drafting tasks, exposure to court and participated in different forms of alternative dispute resolution. The training I have received has been excellent and there is a fantastic team culture throughout the offices."

Of particular value is the opportunity to tailor my training to focus on areas of personal interest within each sector. This approach has not only deepened my understanding within specific domains but also allowed me to witness the interconnectedness of different legal areas.
