Laura Rolls

Trainee Solicitor

Laura graduated from Bournemouth University with a Degree in Law in 2016. Laura then went on to study the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Guildford alongside a Master of Laws Degree in Professional Legal Practice.

Having previously worked in-house dealing with Contract and Intellectual Property matters and also at a national law firm in Housing Management Litigation, Laura joined Glanvilles in April 2018 as a Paralegal. Laura commenced her Training Contract in September 2018 and has completed seats in the Company/Commercial, Dispute Resolution, Private Client and Property Departments.

Laura will spend the remainder of her Training Contract within the Dispute Resolution Department which is where she intends to qualify as a Solicitor in June.

Laura accepts instructions in relation to most contentious areas of law. These are included but not limited to:

  • Contractual disputes;
  • Employment disputes (including providing independent advice on settlement agreements);
  • Commercial and residential property disputes (including possession claims);
  • Building disputes;
  • Shareholder and partnership disputes;
  • Contentious probate matters;
  • Debt recovery actions;
  • Insolvency matters; and
  • Professional negligence cases.

Laura is also able to act in relation to non-contentious employment matters such as advising and drafting policy documents and contracts, advising on TUPE matters and advising and drafting restrictive covenants.

Laura understands that litigation is not always the most suitable method of solving a dispute, and recognises that Alternative Dispute Resolution methods such as negotiation and mediation can be utilised to resolve matters without the emotional and financial pressure involved in proceeding through the Courts.
