Solicitor

After training with the Firm, Courtney qualified as a solicitor into the Family Department in August 2024, working between both our Chichester (South Street) and Petworth (Wisteria House) offices. She obtained a first-class law degree from Royal Holloway University of London in 2021 and completed the Legal Practice Course with a Master's in Legal Practice at the University of Law in Guildford.

As a dedicated member of the Family Law team, Courtney advises clients across a wide range of family matters. She provides practical, compassionate support in relation to Child Arrangements, Prohibited Steps Orders, Specific Issue Orders, and matters involving international travel and holidays with children. She also assists clients throughout the divorce process, including Financial Settlements and Consent Orders.

In addition, Courtney advises on Pre-nuptial and Post-nuptial Agreements, Cohabitation Agreements, and Separation Agreements, helping individuals and families protect their interests and plan for the future. She also supports clients seeking protective injunctions, including Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders.

Courtney is a member of Forces Law, an organisation dedicated to providing specialist legal advice to serving personnel, veterans and military families, and has a tailored and sympathetic approach to understanding the legal challenges affecting the Armed Forces community. She can advice military clients on Divorce, Financial Settlements, Child Arrangements and other family and matrimonial matters that arise alongside being military personnel.

Acknowledging the emotional and often overwhelming nature of these issues for clients, Courtney strives to make complex legal matters easy to understand, alleviate difficult situations with straightforward advice and help clients to get their ducks in a row.
