Scott Richardson

Scott studied Law at the University of Plymouth, where he then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course. Scott joined Glanvilles in March 2014 as a Trainee Solicitor and qualified as a Solicitor in December 2015, where he has since worked within the Company and Commercial team between our Chichester and Fareham offices. Scott was promoted to Associate on 1st April 2020 and then became a Partnership Associate in April 2023.

Scott is friendly and approachable and says his favourite part of the job is assisting new business start ups and budding entrepreneurs. Scott also enjoys transactional work such as share purchase and sales, business purchase and sales, mergers and acquisitions, and management buy-outs, acting for both purchasers and vendors in a wide variety of business sectors. Scott also attends various networking events with other local professionals and business owners in or around the local areas when he gets the opportunity. 

In his spare time Scott enjoys watching sport and spending quality time outdoors with his young family who keep him busy and on his toes!

• Advising on data protection law and drafting data protection documents for businesses, including privacy polices and data breach management plans
• Intellectual property rights, including drafting licence agreements and registering trade marks both in the UK and overseas
• Expert business legal advice regarding the most appropriate type of structure to operate your business from, particularly for new business start ups and entrepreneurs
• Reviewing and drafting terms and conditions of business for clients whose customers are consumers, corporate entities, or a mixture of both
