Thomas Oliver

Partnership Associate

Tom joined the Dispute Resolution team at Glanvilles LLP in 2019, promoted to Associate in October 2021 and then to Partnership Associate in October 2023, having previously specialised in Contentious Trusts and Contentious Probate at his last firm. Tom completed his degree in Law at the University of West England in 2014 and then went on to complete his Legal Practice Course at Guildford College of Law, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2017.

Within the Dispute Resolution team at Glanvilles, Tom specialises in Civil Litigation. He accepts instructions from both Claimants and Defendants and has experience in a range of matters including but not limited to, landlord and tenant matters, property disputes, contentious probate matters and contractual disputes. Tom is acutely aware of the emotional difficulties that come with engaging in litigation to individuals and business alike. He ensures that each case is handled with the care it deserves and is a calming influence when the circumstances require it.

Tom has acted for both Claimants and Defendants using Alternative Dispute Resolution methods such as mediation. He realises the benefits of such methods and is happy to advise on these on a case by case basis. Tom has advocacy experience and is happy to litigate matters where necessary.

In his spare time Tom likes to run, play tennis and plays rugby for Chichester Rugby Football Club.
