Glanvilles' Resolution Together Service

Introducing Resolution Together at Glanvilles: A New Approach to Amicable Divorce

At Glanvilles, our family department understands that divorce can be both emotionally and financially challenging. We know that most couples want to avoid excessive legal fees and prolonged court battles. That is why we are proud to announce that family solicitors Tina Day and Charlotte Woodhouse are now Resolution Together qualified.

What is Resolution Together?

In traditional divorce proceedings, each spouse typically hires their own solicitor. However, a growing number of couples prefer to receive joint legal advice from a single solicitor. Under Resolution Together former partners can work collaboratively with one solicitor from the beginning. “I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with both parties in such a new and dynamic way” says Tina. Although individual solicitors may still be necessary in some cases, many couples find that shared legal counsel helps them work more effectively together.

Resolution Together is a new way of working that emerged following the introduction of the Divorce Dissolution and Separation Act 2020, which allowed couples to make joint applications to end their marriage for the first time. This method is particularly suitable for amicable former partners who aim to reach an outcome together. “I am looking forward to working together with both parties to find an effective solution” says Charlotte.

Benefits of Resolution Together

Resolution Together offers numerous advantages over traditional litigation, making it an appealing choice for many couples. It emphasises non-court dispute resolution (NCDR), leading to reduced costs and faster more confidential outcomes. Resolution Together provides tailored solutions to meet each couple's unique needs while fostering better communication and cooperation between couples, which is particularly important for co-parents. Additionally, it helps reduce conflict and lower the emotional stress typically associated with divorce.
