Catherine Mulroney

Catherine graduated from the University of Winchester with a Degree in Law, prior to completing the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law in Guildford. Catherine also attained a Master of Science Degree in Law, Business and Management whilst studying the Legal Practice Course.

Catherine qualified as a Solicitor into the Firm’s Dispute Resolution and Employment Departments, after successfully completing her Training Contract with the Firm.

With regard to Dispute Resolution work, Catherine acts for Claimants and Defendants alike. She accepts instructions in relation to most contentious areas of law, including but not limited to: contractual disputes, commercial and residential property disputes (including possession claims), building disputes, shareholder disputes, contentious probate matters, debt recovery actions, insolvency related matters, partnership disputes and professional negligence cases.

In relation to Employment Law work, Catherine accepts instructions from employers and employees. She is able to act in relation to contentious and non-contentious Employment Law matters, which include: unfair and constructive dismissal cases, advising and drafting policy documents and contracts, advising parties on Settlement Agreements, advising on TUPE matters, discrimination cases, advising and drafting restrictive covenants and dealing with disciplinary and grievance matters.

Catherine is aware of the financial and emotional strains that litigation can involve and is therefore always mindful of the options available to settle disputes without the need of Court action. Catherine has extensively used Alternative Dispute Resolution, such as Mediation, as method of resolving disputes in a timely and cost effective manner.

However, should Court action become necessary, Catherine can provide advocacy services and has frequently litigated matters to a successful conclusion. She adds value by giving commercially sound and practical advice throughout the process.
