Yesterday saw the announcement of the 2017 budget Autumn Statement, by Philip Hammond in the House of Commons.
One of the key announcements within the budget is the decision for Stamp Duty Land Tax to be immediately abolished for First Time Buyers on property purchases in England and Wales of up to £300,000 and for higher value areas such as London, on the first £300,000 of a property’s price up to a value of £500,000.
Those matters that have not yet completed will be eligible for the nil rate.
