Court of Protection proceedings
If you have a relative or friend who is mentally incapable and has not made a valid power of attorney, it may be necessary to apply to the Court of Protection for a deputy to be appointed to manage his or her financial affairs.
Glanvilles Wills, Trusts & Probate team will advise clients on whether such applications are necessary and whether there are any alternatives. We prepare the application and advise the deputy on his powers and duties once appointed.
Partners in Glanvilles act as deputies in appropriate cases.
